Friendship Team Registrations

Gordon FC supports the growth of the club and accepts Friends teams registrations in the with the following guidelines:

New Team – New players to the club

1.       All players are graded

2.       The team needs to be full and able to enter a grade without additional players

3.       The team accepts the division grading system for the team

4.       Should the team be short or have excess players in the team they acknowledge GordonFC Grading may need to add or move players from this team to ensure other same age group teams are whole

5.       The team must provide a Manager and Coach

6. Must be U8 age group or above

New Team – Existing and New Players to the club

Should the team be short or have excess players in the team they acknowledge GordonFC Grading may need to add or move players from this team to ensure other same age group teams are whole

1.       All players are graded

2.       The Friends team must have 70% of the squad identified prior to grading

3.       At grading registration please indicate a preference for a Friends team

4.       All Friends players will be graded from the bottom up. This means if the team is short players, the lower graded players may be placed in the team

5.       All Friends players will be graded from the bottom up. This means if the team has excess players, the higher graded players may be placed in a higher graded team

6.       The team must provide a Manager and Coach

7. Must be U8 age group or above

Should you wish to explore a Friends team entry please contact the Committee to discuss and gain advice on the appropriate process. We shall endeavour to satisfy your requirements while maintaining a fair and transparent process and get as many players on the pitch as possible.


Note team numbers:

  • Under 12 and below require a minimum of 12 players

  • Under 13 and above require a minimum of 16 players
